About the Department:

The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is an Educational milieu that creates a foreground for Students to acquire knowledge in futuristic areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Software Engineering. We strive to create Students ready for the Industry with the ability to develop and sustain Space-Age systems. The department was started in 2022.

The curriculum’s prime focus is to endorse learning through the key concepts of Acquire, Analyze, Design and Implement Oriented teaching will create the Students to Challenge, Innovate and Compete with assigned Capstone projects to solve real-world problems to make themselves Industry-ready Professionals and enable them to become a Future Entrepreneur.

About the Program:

B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are one of the many branches of Science, Engineering, and Technology. Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a Four year’s undergraduate course that deals with Core Technologies like Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data warehouse, Data mining, Scripting language, Product development, and Mathematical modelling.

  • This course also gives importance to areas like Big Data Analytics, Fuzzy Technologies, and Artificial Neural Networks. It helps Students in getting ready with skills to perform decisions that are based on Data Analysis.
  • Through Artificial Intelligence and Data Science courses, Students will gain skills in areas like Statistics, Data Scientists, Machine Learning, Computer Science, and Logic.

Career Scope:

Artificial Intelligence includes jobs in Intelligence, Game Programmers, Robotic Scientists, Computer Scientists, and Data Scientists among others. Artificial Intelligence is, thus, a very popular course worldwide. It is beneficial to master at least one basic Machine Language in order to work in this field.

Program Outcomes(POs)

Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of Mathematics, Science, Engineering fundamentals and Engineering Specialization to the solution of Complex Engineering problems.

Problem analysis: Identify, Formulate, Review Research Literature, and Analyze Complex Engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using the first principles of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Engineering Sciences.

Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for Complex Engineering problems and Design System Components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for Public Health and Safety, Cultural, Societal and Environmental considerations.

Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use Research-Based knowledge and Research methods including Design of Experiments, Analysis and Interpretation of Data, and Synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern tool usage: Create, Select, and apply appropriate Techniques, Resources, and Modern Engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to Complex Engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

The Engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess Societal, Health, Safety, Legal and Cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the Professional Engineering practice.

Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of Professional Engineering solutions in Societal and Environmental contexts, demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for Sustainable development.

Ethics: Apply Ethical principles and commit to Professional Ethics and responsibilities and norms of the Engineering practice.

Individual and team work: Function effectively as an Individual, and as a member or Leader in Diverse Teams and Multidisciplinary settings.
